尊敬的各位老师，亲爱的同学们：
Dear teachers and students，
大家早上好！今天国旗下讲话的题目是“学会服从”。
Good morning! Today, the topic of my speech is “learn to obey.”
蚂蚁——一种微小的生物，但它却有与之形态不符的力量。
The ant is a tiny creature, but it has the power that does not match its form.
这种不起眼的生物，有时会翻起惊涛骇浪，就是这样一个种族，能让千里之堤，为其崩溃；就是这样一个种族，能以极少的牺牲，穿过重重火海，跨过茫茫汪洋换来种族的延续。
This kind of insignificant creature sometimes makes waves. It is such a race that can make the dike of thousands of miles collapse; it is such a race that can cross the sea of fire and the vast ocean with very little sacrifice in exchange for the continuation of the race.
是什么让这个种族完成这些看起来不可能实现的奇迹，是什么让这个种族跨越历史的考验，是团体精神，是服从意识。
What makes this race complete these seemingly impossible miracles?What makes this race cross the test of history? That is the spirit of group and the consciousness of obedience.
我们人类是群居动物，因此需要集体的力量。因此要学会服从集体。服从是一种美德，但许多人都误解它了，并且 对“服从”两字很不服气，认为服从了有损其尊严，有损其个性。
We humans are social animals, so we need collective power. Therefore, we should learn to obey the collective. Obedience is a kind of virtue, but many people misunderstand it, and they are not convinced by the word “obedience”. They think that obedience will damage their dignity and personality.
但事实上，服从有益成长的规范，并非就是坏事。张扬个性没有错，服从应该服从的，同样没有错，还更能体现一个人的素质与品德。
But in fact, it is not a bad thing to obey the norms of beneficial growth. It is not wrong to publicize one’s personality, but to obey what should be obeyed. It can also reflect one’s quality and morality.
那么我们为什么要服从？实际上，我们服从的目的是为了共同的愿景。比如服从班集体是为了班集体能够更加团结。
So why should we obey? In fact, the purpose of our obedience is to share a common vision. For example, obeying the class is to make the class more united.
服从的方式有许多种，我们需要放弃个人的主见一心一意的服从班集体的价值理念和指令。当然，所说的服从绝对不是不动脑子的盲从，如有不同意见，可以在合适场所和时间，通过适当的方式向班主任老师、向班集体提出或反映。
There are many ways of obedience. We need to give up our personal opinions and obey the values and instructions of the class. Of course,this obedience is definitely not blind obedience. If there are different opinions, they can be put forward or reflected to the class teacher and class collective in the appropriate place and time, and in an appropriate way.
同学们应该知道，军人的天职是什么？答案是：服从，绝对服从。我们在服从小组、班级、学校、组织安排的时候，也应该像军人一样，绝对服从。
Students should know, what is the bounden duty of soldiers? The answer is: obey. Absolutely obey. When we obey the arrangements of groups, classes, schools and organizations, we should be as obedient as soldiers.
服从有四个标准：
There are four criteria for obedience
1.服从没有面子可言，面对指令应借口少一点，行动多一点，积极反应，不要牢骚满腹，推三阻四，也不要不声不响，不置可否；
2.There is no face for obedience. In the face of instructions, you should make fewer excuses, take more actions, and respond positively. Don’t be full of complaints and don’t be silent and refuse to comment;
2.服从应直截了当，没有顾忌，没有繁琐，无需协调，无需磨合，全力而迅速的去服从；
2.Obedience should be straightforward, without scruples, cumbersome, without coordination, without running in, and be obedient with all one’s strength and speed
3.先接受后沟通，先执行，在执行中理解，在理解中执行。有的人总认为自己不行，而你认为“不可行”只是你的判断，之所以将任务分配给你，包含了大部分人的判断，可以先接受任务，如果执行过程中出现了问题，再去和集体多沟通，不应马上推脱。
3.Accept first, then communicate, execute first, understand in execution, and implement in understanding. Some people always think that they can’t do it, but you think “infeasible” is just your judgment. The reason why you assign a task to you includes the judgment of most people. You can accept the task first. If there is a problem in the implementation process, you should communicate with the collective more, and you should not give up immediately.
4.随命令而行动。立即行动是一种服从的精神，不能有一时一刻的拖延，而养成一种习惯。
4.Follow orders. Immediate action is a spirit of obedience, not a moment of procrastination, but to develop a habit.
所以，我们不作孤芳自赏的“孔雀”，只有真正的服从集体，融入集体，才能更好地实现自己的人生价值。
Therefore, we should not be “peacocks” with self admiration. Only by truly obeying the collective and integrating into the collective can we better realize our own value of life.
