【国旗下讲话】肯合作，为服务
尊敬的老师，亲爱的同学们，大家上午好。今天国旗下讲话的主题是“肯合作，为服务”。
Dear teachers and students: Today our topic is “Willing to collaborate, willing to serve”.
单丝不成线，独木不成林。流星固然璀璨，但区区 一颗只能成为他人眸中一瞬的闪亮，只有成雨而来才会星光闪耀，照亮夜空。一人独行，纵使了无牵挂， 箭步如飞，但终将孤独寂寞，孑孓而行。
A single string cannot weave out a web. A single tree cannot form a forest. Though a meteor is bright, it only can create a sudden flicker. Only if they gather together and form a meteor shower, they can enlighten the whole sky. Though a person who travels with himself doesn’t have anything to stop his steps, he would be solitary in this world.
人们追求的不应是独行间转瞬的流光溢彩，而应是互相扶持，合作共赢的高尚精神。只身一人，我们能做的少之又少，并肩合作的收益远比1+1=2来的要多。
People should not pursue the fleeting splendor when he springs alone, but the noble virtue of interactions and collaborations. If you’re alone, there’s so little that you can do. The benefits of collaboration will always be out of our expectations.
我们要肯合作，要放下身段，与他人互补长短。个体终究是有缺陷的。在合作中相互成就，相互鼓励，相互成长。合作中的他人也可以是一面面明镜，帮助自己认识到不足。合作不仅能创造共赢，也能提升自我。
We must be willing to collaborate and lower ourselves down. In collaborations, we should help each other, encourage each other, and improve ourselves. Collaboration partners could also be a clear mirror, helping us to realize our flaws. Collaborations can create win-win, and also can improve ourselves.
合作是当今社会发展的共同趋势。自然界中万事万物尚需合作，人被赋予了最高等的智慧，更明白顺应自然。
Collaboration is a common trend in today’s social development. Even the other creature in the wild need to collaborate, as human beings with given wisdom, we should be even more collaborative.
人生最美好的，就是在你停止生存时，也还能以你所创造的一切为人们服务。服务，有助于建立和谐社会。社会的进步需要全社会的共同参与和努力，对于服务并不仅仅只是给予，更多的是在服务过程中，丰富生活体验，加深对社会的认识。
The best thing about life is that when you stop living, you can still serve people with what you create.Service helps to build a harmonious society. The progress of society requires the joint participation and efforts of the whole society. Service is not just about giving, but more about enriching life experiences and deepening understanding of the society in the process of service.
通过帮助别人外，还可以培养组织及领导能力，学习新知识。增强自信心，学会与人相处。融入社会感受社会，增强归属感。切身关怀，帮助服务对象可以减轻接受服务时的自卑感和疏远感，从而建立自尊心和自信心。
By helping others, you can also develop organizational and leadership skills and learn new knowledge. Increase your self-confidence and learn to get along with others. Blend into the society feel the society, and enhance the sense of belonging.Personal care helps clients to reduce feelings of inferiority and alienation when receiving services, thus building self-esteem and self-confidence.
作为一名嘉洋学子，我们应该实实在在的将肯合作，为服务的核心价值观，内化于心，外化于行。谢谢大家。
