【国旗下讲话】第5周：做个诚实正直的人Be Honest

正直是一种
遵从良知和自我约束的高贵品质，
是青少年人格发展的重要目标。
三月，
学校5C品格课的主题是“正直”。
什么是“正直”，
应该如何做到“正直”？
在本期的国旗下讲话中，
小学部的两位同学结合自己最近的阅读，
给出了自己的答案。

亲爱的同学们：
大家好！今天，我们国旗下讲话的内容是——做个诚实正直的人。诚实意味着忠诚和正直，言行一致，表里一致。最近，我们班在读《伊索寓言》，我很喜欢里面的小故事《牧童和狼》。

Dear teachers and friends:
Today our topic is : Be Honest .Honesty means loyalty and integrity. It means congruence and practise what you preach.Recently, our class is reading Aesop’s Fables. I like the story The shepherd boy and the wolf.

故事讲的是，一个牧童在村边放羊。好几次他大叫：“狼来了！狼来了！”村民们闻声赶来救他，但哪里有什么狼！牧童看到他们惊慌失措的样子，竟然哈哈大笑起来。
In this story, a shepherd boy was herding sheep at the edge of the village. He shouted many times,”The wolf is coming!The wolf is coming!”The villagers came to save him, but there were no wolves at all! The shepherd boy burst out laughing when he saw their panic.

后来狼真的来了。牧童吓坏了，他慌忙大叫：“狼来了！狼来了！请快来帮忙啊，狼在吃羊了！”然而，这次他喊破喉咙，也没有人前来帮忙了。从中我明白了一贯说谎的人即使说了真话，也没有人会相信。我们不要在别人面前说谎，要做个诚实正直的好孩子，否则吃亏的最终是自己。
The Wolf, however, did truly come at last.The shepherd boy was frightened, and he cried out, “The wolf! The wolf is coming! Please come and help, the Wolf is eating the sheep!” This time, however, he shouted loudly and no one came to help.From this I learned that a habitual liar will not be believed even when he speaks the truth. Don’t lie! Be honest, otherwise we’ll definitely suffer loss.

正直是人最纯良的品性，是为人处世最良好的方法，与人交往，应以正直为本。“正直”二字，是信用的基石，希望大家做个诚实正直的人，争做品学兼优的好少年。
Dear friends, Integrity is the most pure character. It is the best way to behave. Communication should be based on integrity. Integrity is the cornerstone of trust. I hope you can be an honest and upright person and strive to be a good teenager.
